Tips from UpDriver
Sometimes simple tips can really help and save you time. Read a few of them!
PREPARED CV
For drivers interested in working in the EU, it’s important to have a prepared resume in advance. This helps us and the employer better understand your experience and offer the most suitable service and job.
ENGLISH IS ESSENTIAL
English will be the main language for communication in Europe. It’s very important to have good communication skills in English. Be honest about your speaking level — and once you begin the document process, start improving your English right away. Don’t waste time while waiting — use it to prepare.
LEARN EU ROAD RULES EARLY
Study European traffic rules, and talk to friends or drivers you know who already live and work in the EU. Read forums and learn from real experiences. This will help you adapt faster, complete your training more easily, and feel confident on the road as soon as possible.
LEARN BASIC SLOVAK
Take time to read about the country you're moving to and learn at least a few basic Slovak words. Even knowing a couple dozen common phrases will make daily life easier — from shopping to speaking with coworkers. Your employer will also appreciate the effort!
